Barista RecipesA COFFEE FOR YOU

FROM PAGE TO CUP

Open a recipe.
Make it yours.

Scan a code from your book, keep the recipe handy and share a little coffee kindness.

Find a recipe
Start with the code in your book

Point your phone camera at the QR code and tap the link that appears. Match the recipe name and number on screen with your book.

You can also open the recipe library and search by name or code, such as R07. The resource code at the back of the Handbook opens recipes and learning resources.

Find measurement conversions

Recipes use metric measurements. At the bottom of each recipe, a table lists approximate US and UK equivalents for its quantities. Weight ounces and fluid ounces measure different things; US and UK fluid measures also differ.

Shared recipes include the same conversion table. Spoon measures, ratios and timing stay as written.

Keep a recipe handy in the kitchen

Select Save recipe above the quantities, then find it in the library’s Saved recipes list. This keeps only the recipe number in this browser, without the greeting or message. Use Remove from saved to remove a recipe from the list.

Saves belong to this browser and site address; they do not sync between devices. Clearing site data clears the list. If saving is unavailable, bookmark the recipe in your browser instead. Use Print / save recipe for a paper copy or a PDF if your device offers that option.

Kitchen view puts the quantities and instructions first. Tick numbered steps as you go; the ticks clear when you reload or open another recipe. Keep screen awake works only when your browser and device allow it.

Keep the recipe tab open while cooking. The website needs an internet connection to open a recipe; it is not an offline app.

Share just the recipe

Use Share recipe, Email, Text message or Copy recipe link. The link opens the metric recipe and its US and UK conversion table, without a personal greeting. Choose the recipient in your own app and send when you are ready.

Send an e-greeting with a recipe

Choose a card, select a drink under “Attach a recipe”, then choose “Next: personalise →”. Add your greeting, message and sender name, then select “Review your card →”. Use “← Back” to revise it. Your latest draft and step are kept in this tab’s address when you refresh.

A saved card image is a picture. Include the card link as well so your friend can open the full recipe. A messaging app may show the attached drink in its link preview; the personal card appears when the link is opened.

Anyone with your card link can read the message. Sending or receiving a card never subscribes anyone to email updates.

If a link or sharing button does not work

Check your internet connection, then try opening the link in your usual browser instead of inside a messaging app. If the share menu is unavailable, use Copy recipe link or Copy card link and paste it into your message.

If copying is blocked, follow the manual-copy prompt. For an unrecognised recipe address, use the library search and check the printed recipe number.

The recipe library and everyday greetings are free. The books, optional extras and planned learning resources are separate.
